Habitat PEI ReStore

The Store That Builds Homes

The ReStore is a home décor,  building supply and home renovation store that accepts and resells new and gently-used items. Proceeds from the ReStore fund Habitat for Humanity PEI, which constructs Habitat homes for hard-working low income families in the province. Supporting the ReStore helps deserving Island families achieve the dream of home ownership.

Everything You Need

Serving as a “thrift-shop” for reusable materials, the ReStore offers a great place to purchase good, resalable items at very reasonable prices. You never know what you will find.

Waste Reduction

ReStores help the environment by diverting thousands of tons of usable materials away from already overflowing landfills right across North America. The Habitat for Humanity PEI ReStore offers a practical response to dropping off reusable items to Island waste disposal facilities. Stores and manufacturers can donate end-of-line, scratch and dent, old stock and customer returns that might otherwise be sent to landfills; individuals can donate unneeded materials and furnishings.

Volunteer at the ReStore

Volunteer at the ReStore

We need your help operating our ReStore. We divert thousands of products each year from waste disposal facilities, but we couldn’t do it without volunteer help. ReStore volunteers assist with preparing store merchandise, receiving donations, and helping customers. Contact us, fill out our online form.

Habitat for Humanity PEI is currently in the process of relocating our Restore and have put a pause on our volunteer program due to COVID-19 and our move. We are expecting to resume the volunteer program in February 2021.

How can I support the ReStore?

Donate new and used building materials and home decor to the Habitat ReStore! By donating your materials, you can also avoid dumping charges. If you want to contribute and are not feeling like leaving the house, give us a call  –  we pickup for free! Our Donation Hotline is 902-368-7539.
